Deep House Yoga in a cathedral. Ice skating under the Northern Lights. A vinyl-fuelled Chrimble market and surf flicks at the museum.
Feel the glow of winter in Cornwall with our insider pick of the best things happening in November.
When? 12 November 2026
Where? National Maritime Museum Cornwall, Falmouth
Catch the last waves of the SURF! exhibition, celebrating 100 years of Cornish waveriding, at this special after-hours gathering with Carve magazine. Book your ticket to hear from the people who shaped Cornwall’s surf story, including curator Sam Bleakley, competitive trailblazer Grishka Roberts, photographer Alex Williams, and Para Surfing World Champion Charlotte Banfield. Then Mickey Smith takes over the screen with a selection of his surf films, while the bar stays open and the Aussie Smoker keeps the food coming.
When? 28 November 2026
Where? Eco Park Porthtowan
Warm up with the energetic border-crossing sounds of The Turbans, pooling their talents into music that brings together different countries and cultures in a live show that looks as good as it sounds. Shed the winter blues with a night of world music, dancing and global good vibes at the Eco Park.
When? 20-21 November 2026
Where? St Ives
Think the dark days of November dial down the evening fun? Think again. The St Ives Shanty Shout brings around 30 shanty groups to pubs, hotels and cafés across St Ives, belting out songs of the sea and warming up winter nights on the shore.
When? 14 November 2026
Where? Truro Cathedral
Flow into winter with an incredible Silent Disco Yoga experience in Truro Cathedral: the lights low, the walls glowing and a deep house playlist in your headphones. You can even choose to stay on and float further into the evening with another 45 minutes of yoga nidra, with binaural beats to deepen the calm. Then why not make it date with dinner out in Truro afterwards?
When? 15 November 2026
Where? Melancoose Woodland Spa, Nr Newquay
Shelter in the woods for a full day of Somara rituals. Energy medicine yoga, gentle somatic movement, guided meditation and an immersive soundbath ease you in, then an outdoor spa takes over with a sauna, hot tub, cold shower and herbal scrub. Leave loose, grounded and clear-headed. Haven’t got a whole day to give up? Try one of Somara’s soothing Sunday soundbaths.
When? 28 November 2026
Where? Ansum x R.Place, Porth
Silly season starts here. Ansum teams up with local makers, movers and shakers for an intimate Chrimble market packed with presents you won’t find on the high street. Warm up with boozy coffee from R.Place, mulled bevs and raclette by the bucketload, while The Vinyl Collective NQY spins records to soundtrack your feast.
When? 5 November 2026
Where? Near Port Isaac
Fireworks, street food around the bonfire, and a live Nashville country band – now that’s how to do Guy Fawkes night in Cornwall. Gather for mulled cider around the fire before Celebration Pyrotechnics light up the skies above Sea View Farm. Then head inside the café for live music from Willow Hill, firing up the rest of the night with energetic, modern country sounds.
When? Weekends from 13 November 2026
Where? The Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Austell
Thought November nights were for staying in? Think again. From mid-November, follow a lantern trail through Heligan after dark, under glittering tunnels of light and larger-than-life wildlife lanterns. Roast marshmallows on the fire, sip mulled wine or hot chocolate, and visit the farm animals.
When? 29 November 2026
Where? St Ives
Changing Worlds: Future Dreaming turns a winter day into a studio for imagining healthier futures for people and planet. Inspired by the Wilhelmina Barns-Graham exhibition, Tate St Ives’ Winter Festival brings artists, scientists and local communities together for performances, talks, workshops and gallery interventions, with plenty for all ages. We’d suggest pairing your trip to St Ives with a sauna overlooking the sea at Kiln.
When? Ice rink open now; Christmas at Eden from 20 November 2026
Where? The Eden Project, St Austell
Escape the winter darkness and skate into another world at Eden. Cornwall’s megastar attraction has switched the mesmerising aura of the Northern Lights onto the ice rink this season. But its biggest winter warmer, we reckon, is Helios, a seven-metre illuminated sun suspended in the Mediterranean Biome. Fire pits are also standing ready for toasting your own s’mores, and the Cornwall Christmas Fair is at Eden, 18-19 November.
Where? Harlyn, Nr Padstow

Treat yourself to a night in a ‘scruffy-chic’ 15th-century country retreat close the wild north coast. At The Pig at Harlyn you can sink into a luxurious room, wander the kitchen gardens blooming in the sea breeze, sip local tipples by the fire, and dine in one of Cornwall’s most obsessive field-to-fork eateries.
Wild walks, cosy waterside pubs, boutiques and food finds. Fowey is a harbour town made for winter, where coastal paths end at a pub fire and every street hides something worth a detour. Drift in for a day, or settle in for the weekend.
