Crantock Beach

Crantock Beach is a beautiful expanse of golden sand nestled between headlands on Cornwall’s north coast. This wide, sweeping bay is backed by sand dunes and offers plenty of space for families, surfers and sunbathers alike. The beach is dog-friendly year-round, making it popular with walkers. During summer months, RNLI lifeguards patrol the beach, providing reassurance for swimmers and bodyboarders braving the Atlantic waves. Facilities include a seasonal café, toilets near the car park, and a picturesque thatched ice cream parlour in the village.

Surfers flock here for the consistent waves, especially around the river mouth. For the adventurous, there are caves to explore in the cliffs, including one with mysterious carved poetry.
