Cornwall’s coastline evokes the want to wander and explore, and this awe-inspiring exhibition explores the very close relationship between landscape and wandering. Inspired by the pilgrimage route of St Michael’s Way, which passed through the site of Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens on its way to Northwest Spain, the exhibition features media of varying types and size, immersed in the subtropical landscape and galleries of the sculpture gardens.

No matter how many times you’ve visited the Eden Project, the first view over its magnificent biomes still has the wow factor. Combine that with world-class bands, and it’s an unforgettable music experience. Well established on the summer festival scene, the Eden Sessions has welcomed some amazing musical acts to Cornwall over the years, but 2023 is set to be one of the best yet with Lionel Richie, Gabrielle, Kasabian and The War on Drugs confirmed so far. Don’t forget to arrive early and make the most of admission into this incredible attraction.

Love house music and love festivals? Well, it’s time to break out your party attire for the ‘Greatest House Party in a Field‘. What started as a gathering for a group of friends over a decade ago, has grown into an all-out three days of frolics and musical entertainment, this year featuring Orbital, Aurora and Bloc Party. Don’t forget to pack your surfboard too, as you’re close enough to Bude and the North Coast of Cornwall to break out for some waves

27th to 30th July 2023
Hogging a prime location overlooking the Camel Estuary, the Rock Oyster Festival beckons families, foodies and music lovers looking for an event that’s a little more laid-back than some of the big names. One of the smallest festivals on the summer circuit, it’s hands-down one of our favourites with a huge local following. You don’t have to love oysters to enjoy the smorgasbord of live music, artisan grub, well-being workshops and interactive kids’ sessions. And with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Groove Armada and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall taking the stage, we can’t wait.

You don’t have to like boats to make the most of this spectacular week that started out as a local sailing regatta in 1837. There’s plenty for landlubbers and maritime fans, as the whole town hits party mode for a week of sailing competitions, street parades, family entertainment and live music.

Romeo & Juliet, Liskeard

4 August 2023
Take a seat in the amphitheatre to witness a bold production of Shakespeare’s tale of star-crossed lovers. While many people head to the renowned cliffside Minack Theatre, this smaller, lesser-known natural amphitheatre close to Upton Cross is an atmospheric venue to witness a re-imagined version of the feud between the Montagues and Capulets.
