Move over Boardmasters, there’s a new wave of festivals hitting the Cornish coast this summer. And instead of partying your socks off all day and night, these are focussed on wellbeing in the great outdoors. Find your Zen at these alternative events were you can swap booze for breathwork, mayhem for mindfulness, and all-nighters for adventures. However, feeling this good doesn’t mean you have to miss out on heart-stopping headliners and sundowner sessions with a cheeky Cornish tipple.
Bedruthan, Mawgan Porth
14-16 June 2024

Immerse yourself in a weekend festival of wellness and creativity, surrounded by the stunning coastal scenery of Cornwall. Here the discos come in the form of silent disco yoga, as you tune into holistic practices including meditation, movement, sound bath healing, creative workshops and cliff-top yoga. Grounded in the wild Cornish coastline, and led by experts including surfer and environmentalist Sophie Hellyer, former international rugby player Anthony Mullally, and yoga therapist and psychologist Dr Alicia Ray, this is set to be a festival that calms and resets the body and mind.

Kudvha, North Cornwall
14-16 June 2024

This one-off weekend of connection, camping and creativity at the back-to-nature Kudvha, celebrates 10 years of Sidetracked magazine. Over two days and nights, you can dive into a wide range of creative masterclasses and active outdoor workshops, before evenings filled with adventure films, inspiring talks, and live music and dancing. True to the mag’s ethos and the wild Cornish lifestyle, it invites you to connect with nature and community, by climbing nearby crags, swimming and surfing in the sea, running, riding and walking the trails, and capturing it all in stories and on film.
Port Eliot Estate
4-7 July 2024

The Wild Gardens packs in a whopping dose of wellbeing that puts it on a different plateau to your average music event. You see, here you don’t miss out on the big-hit headliners, with the likes of Groove Armada, Rudimental and High Contrast in the line-up. But you can also preen yourself in the riverside spa with a sauna, hot tub, drench bucket and a cheeky Prosecco by the fire pit, and keep the bubbles flowing for a creative art session with Bubbly and Brush. Once your wild side is flowing, head to the woods for a feast with Philleigh Way, and if – after the main act – you’re still keen for an after party, there’s the silent disco in the woods. As long as you go easy on the Prosecco, it’s an event that’s bound to leave you feeling good.
