About this business

Willow Valley Holiday Park is a family-run retreat tucked away in the lush countryside just outside Bude, where the vibe is relaxed and the focus is firmly on enjoying the Cornish great outdoors in peace. Whether you fancy pitching your own tent, parking your campervan, or trying out glamping in bell tents, shepherd’s huts, or even the eye-catching American bus Bluebird, there’s something for every kind of outdoor lover. The site itself is spread across a haven of trees, wildflowers, and birdsong, with pitches dotted along the Strat Valley—some on grass, others on hardstanding, all offering a sense of space and privacy. Facilities are well looked after, with two immaculate amenity blocks boasting hot showers, hair dryers, and a handy launderette. There’s a playground for the kids, a little shop for essentials, and plenty of nooks to just sit and soak up the tranquillity. The family’s recent takeover in 2024 has brought a fresh spark, but the heart and soul of the place remain unchanged—this is camping for those who want to slow down, switch off, and feel right at home in nature.

As for getting out and about, you’re perfectly placed to explore both Cornwall and Devon, with Bude’s sandy beaches, rock pools, and surf just a short hop away. There’s no shortage of local walks—meander along the South West Coast Path, discover hidden coves, or follow the river paths right from the campsite. If you’re after a bit more action, Bude’s surf schools, cycle routes, and kayak hire will get your pulse racing, while quieter souls can potter around local gardens, browse independent shops, or pop into a cosy café. With the Atlantic Highway on the doorstep, a day out to mythical Tintagel, the wilds of Dartmoor, or the picture-perfect villages of North Cornwall and Devon is all within easy reach. It’s the sort of place where a morning stroll could lead to a secret woodland path, an afternoon paddle in the sea, and an evening barbecue back at camp—with no two days ever quite the same.
