Porthmeor Beach is one of St Ives’ most beloved stretches of golden sand, nestled beneath the iconic Tate St Ives gallery. Dogs are welcome from October to mid-May, but restricted during peak summer months.

Novice wave-riders can book lessons at the surf school, while more experienced surfers tackle the consistent beach break. At low tide, rock pools emerge at either end of the beach, perfect for little explorers to discover marine life.
