Pentewan Beach is a picturesque sandy stretch nestled along Cornwall’s southern coast. The beach is backed by Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, which provides excellent facilities including toilets, showers, and a café. The golden sands of Pentewan stretch for about half a mile, providing ample space for sunbathing, sandcastle building, and beach games. Pentewan Beach is dog-friendly outside of the peak season, with restrictions in place from 1st March to 1st November. The South West Coast Path runs alongside the beach, offering scenic walks in both directions. To the west, you can stroll to the charming fishing village of Mevagissey, while heading east takes you towards the historic Charlestown harbour. The old harbour at Pentewan, once a bustling china clay port, now provides an interesting historical backdrop to this beautiful Cornish beach.
