Penrose Water Gardens

Established over 45 years ago, it features more than 40 lily ponds and informal nature ponds, all beautifully fed by natural springs. Visitors can wander along peaceful paths lined with vibrant water lilies, marginal, floating, and oxygenating aquatic plants that create stunning reflections and a kaleidoscope of colour. Sumptuous birdlife, including kingfishers, moorhens, and ducklings, adds lively charm to the tranquil setting. The gardens open all year from 10 am to 4 pm, though winter weather may cause occasional closures due to flooding.
