It’s no surprise that music lovers from far and wide are flocking to Cornwall’s booming festival scene for world-class tunes, cracking Cornish food and drink, family entertainment, sublime sunsets and wellbeing sessions by the beach. From full-throttle parties on the cliff tops to traditional sea shanties by the harbour, here’s our insight to Cornwall’s coolest festivals to get tickets for in 2025.

Dig out your carnival outfits for this colourful celebration in what’s been dubbed the ‘most picturesque live music venue in the UK’ by The Times. Step down to the beach to dance, sip cocktails and soak up a vibrant Latin atmosphere created by the legendary Love Deluxx DJs and Signature Rouge Dancers.

Kick off your shoes for one of the UK’s only music festivals to take place bang on the beach. Surf by day, party by night on Perranporth’s wave-lashed golden sands where world-class acts play to the beat of the ocean. This year the line-up includes Dub Pistols, Scouting for Girls and Vengaboys. A little less low key than August’s famous Boardmasters, in our eyes this really is the best festival for surfers and music lovers.

What could be cooler than a giant, rambunctious garden fête with live music, sports day races, a fairground, circus workshops, yoga and silent discos in the woodland? A firm favourite for families that like to let loose every once in a while, The Great Estate is the sort of weekender where you can stretch into the day and dance into the night, via Pimms in the afternoon and Happy Mondays or Supergrass at sunset. Based in the meadows of Scorrier House, you can even nip off to the beach if you need a break from the festival scene.

Step into a scene from the box office hit Fisherman’s Friends, and celebrate Cornwall’s rich maritime heritage with boot-stomping songs of the sea. The Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival is Europe’s largest, free nautical music festival, with over 70 local and international sea shanty groups performing in venues across this vibrant harbour town. Coinciding with the Falmouth Classics Regatta, it’s all-out maritime fiesta for sea and song lovers of all ages.

Retreat to the embrace of a sprawling country estate near Lostwithiel, where music and wellbeing dance together at the Paradhis Festival. From wild swimming and cacao ceremonies, to barefoot running and bushcraft, this is a wellbeing experience for wild souls. And you won’t have to scrimp on the full-throttle music experience: from sound waves and sound baths, to world music and world-class headliners including This Is The Kit and The Wailers.

Watergate Bay isn’t just the venue for the world-famous summer surf and music festival that’s Boardmasters. A much more family-friendly beach event on this stunning, wave-lashed shoreline is Arts on the Beach – two days of free workshops and entertainment fuelled by Cornwall’s vibrant coastal lifestyle and creative vibe. Expect live theatre and music, dance, circus, silent discos, creative workshops, and a whole parade of brilliant and briny characters down on the sand.

Dig out your most colourful costume for one of the most unique festivals in the line-up. Tropical Pressure lays on an electrifying fusion of music, food and workshops celebrating the vibrant cultures of Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean. Get your ticket early, as only 3,000 ticket holders get entry into this for the incredible combo of live bands, world-renowned DJs, dreamy sunsets and eco-friendly festival vibes. It’s a tropical weekend experience wrapped into a stunning site overlooking Porthtowan.

Looking for a one-day festival that’s a little bit special – a little bit different? Welcome to The Wyldes, a wooded valley where big bands throw live outdoor music performances alongside delish local food, wellbeing rituals and a festival atmosphere. This year sees a line-up from rock music and Ibiza classics to a soulful solstice gathering – and it’s only a short hop the beaches of Bude.

Hogging a prime location overlooking the Camel Estuary, the Rock Oyster Festival beckons families, foodies and music lovers looking for an event that’s a little more laid-back than some of the big names. One of the smallest festivals on the summer circuit, it’s hands-down one of our favourites with a huge local following. You don’t have to love oysters to enjoy the smorgasbord of live music, artisan grub, well-being workshops and interactive kids’ sessions. What with Mark Hix in the kitchen and UB40 taking the stage, we can’t wait.

Travel the globe from your armchair, at the UK’s finest celebration of adventure travel. Set in the rolling Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, the Armchair Adventure Festival is for hardcore adventurers and dreamers alike. Originally launched when travel came to a halt in lockdown, this full-fledged festi now breaks out way beyond the armchair-bound collection of talks, films and music, to real-life adventures in the surrounding landscape, including paddle boarding, wild swimming, climbing, coasteering and sailing.

No matter how many times you’ve visited the Eden Project, the first view over its magnificent biomes still has the wow-factor. Combine that with world-class bands, and it’s an unforgettable music experience. Well established on the summer festival scene, the Eden Sessions has welcomed some amazing musical acts to Cornwall over the years, but 2025 is set to be one of the best yet with the Madness, Texas and Biffy Clyro promising to get you dancing with a backdrop of the biomes. Don’t forget to arrive early and make the most of admission into this incredible attraction.

What could be more suited to Cornwall than one of Europe’s biggest and best surf and music festivals? By day you can hit Fistral beach and watch international surf pros battle it out to be king of the waves, and in the evening catch big-name bands on stages overlooking the golden sands of Watergate Bay. One of the coolest dates in the Cornish festival calendar, there’s something for everyone, from fairground rides, a silent disco and more intimate venues, to the main stage featuring the likes of The Prodigy, Central Cee and Nelly Furtado. You can also immerse yourself in the Cornish beach lifestyle, with surfing and coasteering adventures, yoga and well-being and boutique camping by the beach.

Port Eliot has long been home to one of Cornwall’s quirkiest festivals, where literary stars, rock stars and party goers mingle on the banks of the River Tamar. The ‘Port Eliot Festival’ had its last hurrah in 2019, but what’s been re-invented as Tunes in the Park, bears an uncanny resemblance to its predecessor, with a heady mix of comedy, literature, food, music and wellbeing in this sprawling country estate.

When the summer holidays come to an end, the festival season just keeps rolling… The Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival is true Cornish celebration of September blessings, with its homage to quality local cider and first-class music in the beautiful setting of Healey’s Cyder Farm. As well as the Rattler Olympics, Mount Hawke skate ramp and Wild Stone Spa, this year’s big names include Mad Dog McCrea and The Boomtown Rats.

This brand-new, independent net-zero festival on the beautiful Looe Beach, is even more reason to get down to Cornwall before the sun sets on the season’s beach parties. There will be bands in the sands, good food, fireworks and all-out festival vibes for this groundbreaking three-day event with community and sustainability at its core. Headliners this year are Marillion, Nick Mulvey and Jordan Rakei.
