WHERE TO PICK YOUR OWN AUTUMN FRUIT & VEG IN CORNWALL

Hedgerows dripping with plump blackberries and root vegetables shooting from nutrient-rich soil. Autumn is the month to pick a colourful array of fruit and vegetables, whether you want to make hearty stews, crumbles or winter preserves, fill up on seasonal veg from the farm shops, or pick your own autumn ingredients.

Blackberry picking

You’re bound to find footpaths lined with blackberries on any autumn stroll, and we love the salty-sweet tang of those picked from the coastal paths. Our favourite spots to fill our punnets with blackberries are the scenic trails on the Lizard and Roseland Peninsulas, or on the winding paths of Bodmin Moor.

Pick your own pumpkin

October is the month of Halloween, so why not pick your own pumpkin at Trevaskis Farm? Choose the perfect pumpkin to carve into a spooky spectacle, and scoop out the insides to make pumpkin pie or pumpkin cake. You’ll find plenty more autumn vegetables and produce in their farm shop, as well as seasonal bakes in the café.

Just-picked for you

If you want just-picked veg without getting your hands dirty, head to Padstow Farm Shop to fill your basket with colourful autumn veg that’s freshly picked from their own farm.
