About this business

Prideaux Walled Garden is one of Padstow’s most special discoveries, a beautiful historic walled garden on Duke Street that opened to the public in 2023 for the first time in over 30 years. Lovingly restored with a focus on soil health and working with nature, it is the kind of place that slows you right down in the best possible way, a green, sheltered haven tucked quietly away from the bustle of the harbour.

At its heart is the Bothy, a charming cafe and shop serving coffee, gorgeous homemade cakes and a small seasonal lunch menu, all made on site using their own organically grown produce. The cakes alone are worth the visit. Pick up something from the shop while you are at it, from seasonal preserves and tea blends to fresh flowers, local pottery and biodynamic wine. On Friday and Saturday evenings the Bothy transforms into something altogether more convivial, with wine, cheese, charcuterie and light suppers served until 10pm. Open Thursday to Sunday, it is a genuinely lovely place to linger.
